Visitors

Dress code and etiquette.

The Rotherham dress code is traditional. The on-course etiquette is the standard expected at every UK members’ club.

Aerial · EMP Foremost Golf

First-time visitors are welcome at Rotherham. The standards below ensure that the experience is comfortable for everyone in the clubhouse and on the course.

On the course

Tailored trousers or shorts (at or just above the knee). Polo shirt or sweater. Golf shoes (soft spikes only). No denim, tracksuits, vests, or football-club shirts.

In the clubhouse bar

Smart-casual. Tailored trousers or smart denim acceptable. Collared shirts preferred. No baseball caps inside.

In the dining room

Smart-casual to smart. No sportswear. For Captain’s lunches and formal events: jacket required for gentlemen; smart dress for ladies.

On-course etiquette

Pace of play: keep up with the group in front. Repair pitch marks. Rake bunkers. Replace divots. Mobile phones on silent. Standard expectations of a UK members’ club.

Visitor first round

If anything about the dress code or club practice is unclear before your first round, please call the Pro Shop or the office. We would always rather you ask than feel uncertain.
